Mechanical Counters

Have you ever seen one of the mechanical counters that people use to count people going into a store or event? We’ve always wondered how they worked. For the September 2022 Box of Making, we did some research and learned how the counters worked. It’s really cool. For the box, we built scorekeepers in two different ways. First, we included two flat counters as the bonus project.

This set of scorekeepers is interesting because they are a great example of how the counter works. Then our main project was two scorekeepers flipped on their sides vertically. If that sounds fun, take a look at the unboxing video for the September box, or order one of your own if needed.
